From July 2016, changes were made through the NDSS, affecting people with type 2 diabetes who do not use insulin. These people can purchase subsidised blood glucose testing strips for an initial period of six months. If your health care professional decides it is necessary for you to continue to monitor your blood glucose levels, you will need to submit an approval form to gain access for a further six month period.
Our Credentialled Diabetes Educators can assess your requirements and assist with the form application. Pop in or contact us to arrange.
